Original Coffee Lifescape™ painting:
Using Starbucks® Espresso & French Roast Coffee
I grew up in a family that loved music. So, at a very early age I was encouraged to take piano lessons. However, it was the 60's and 70's and I heard Jethro Tull and was convinced that the flute was for me. Any of you guys out there that played flute in band starting in 5th grade? You can identify with my pain. Wow, was that a tough line to walk. Remembering the experience of carrying my flute case from the bus to the locker was like a scene from the action film "The Gauntlet" As time passed I was able to fend off the bullies with shouts of "what about Tull, or the Steve Miller Band" oh well. I still have a flute that I like to bring out every once in a while. While painting at the Monday Night Jazz Jam at the Boheme Restaurant in downtown Orlando (hosted by Yvonne Coleman), my wife and I have heard some GREAT flute by Frank Wharton, Don Black and many others!
