Original Dark Roast Watercolor™ painting:
Using Barnie's® Coffee Kitchen Viennese Roast Coffee

Barnie's® Coffee and Tea Company is transitioning into "Barnie's® Coffee Kitchen" so, a few weeks back I met with Jonathan Smiga, and Sonya Hardy to discuss working on a few series of original paintings that would be used in conjunction with the launch.  I reviewed around 140 images they have taken from all over the world and selected a few to sketch and present as possible Dark Roast Watercolor™ works. One of the photos was of a "Vivero" on the Galapagos Islands, where they get their "Galapagos Peaberry" Coffee.

The sprouted coffee plants are nurtured and carefully cared for in a nursery (Vivero). Sheltered from the direct sun, the small plants are able to grow and gain strength before being transplanted into their permanent spot on the mountain slopes.

Did you know... that the average yield of ONE coffee plant during the time of ONE year is just ONE POUND of coffee?
